China First "Honey" Standard May Implementation For Domestic And International Standards Of Honey
Chinese first "honey" national standard will be formally implemented in May 1, 2017. The standard not only to fill the gaps in our "honey" standard, provide the basis for honey production and trade, but also will greatly enhance the competitiveness of Chinese bee products in the world.
At present, China's annual output of honey is about 450 thousand tons, ranking first in the world. The production of royal jelly, propolis, bee pollen and beeswax has also been in the forefront of the world. China has nearly one million practitioners of bee industry and more than 2000 products processing enterprises. The annual output value of bee products is RMB over 12 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), and the contribution rate of bee pollination is about over 500 billion yuan.
